Beauty Care Tips

Beauty Care Tips sent in by a Blog Subscriber:

  1. Only use distilled water when washing face & wash  lightly. Do not use face clothes, only use your hands and fingers.
  2. Do not do a mask, its too harsh on sensitive skin.
  3. Be careful with scrubs, do very lightly and mostly only on the areas that skin gets built up (like above the lip, in the corner of the nose and on the forward).  Don’t scrub your face.  Natural scrubs such as those made with honey, oatmeal, sesame seeds, etc. are better.
  4. Add Vitamin E oil to your face cream and hand cream.
  5. The Dermatological cleanser tends to be milder for the face if you want a cleanser.
  6. It’s important to use toner before moisturizer because it’s a carrier for helping the moisturizer be effective.

More Tips:

  • If you get sun spots on your arms then try Selsum Blue Shampoo.  It has the same ingredients that a prescription would have to stop fungus that is on the skin.
  • Speaking of fungus….There seem to be a lot of articles and books on that topic now.  Most of the prescriptions for this is just a band-aid.  Natural products like Oregano oil, fermented foods, coconut oil, and bentonite clay, used in a long term program seems to be the most effective.

Cluttered Garage Project (step 2)

Step 1:  Took the trash & recycling to the Dump/Recycling Center (that took a week+ to complete).

Clutter Resolution:  Start a new habit of removing the recycling/trash weekly instead of every 6-8 weeks.  Don’t let it pile over.

Step 2 : Found a better place to keep the recycling instead of in the garage.  By practicing step 1 the trash won’t need to be stored in the garage either as long as there is room for it outside in the cans.

A Better Place to Keep the Recycling:

  • I bought a 64 Gallon Wheeled Trash Can to be used for storing the Recycling.  Weekly I will wheel this thing to the Subaru and load up for a recycling trip.
  • I got a 50 gallon blue bin with a lid in which to store returnable cans, plastics, etc. I put it outside next to the trash cans.  It has latches on the sides for the lid which will keep the Racoons out of it.

Cluttered Garage Project (step 1)

I googled ‘How to clean your garage’ and below are five easy steps. LOL. I also received a tip from a blog follower ‘Go Vertical‘!  What you can’t see in the photos is that the walls are loaded with shelves to the ceiling but they are not the most organized since I no longer can really get to them.  Before I can plan out how to organize the garage I need to be able to walk through at least one side of it and get the piles of stuff lower!

Step 1 is to take the trash and recycling out of the garage and keep it out of the garage for good.  Need to find somewhere to keep it though.

  1. Use as much vertical and ceiling space as possible. … {I have no vertical space left}
  2. Before reorganizing, try taking everything out of your garage. …{LOL yea right!}
  3. Decide what to keep, what to donate, and what to throw away. …{good idea}
  4. Group like items together so they’re easy to find. …{did that but can’t get to it}
  5. Decide which area of the garage is going to be used for what purpose.
